The district of Härnösand doesn´t have a lot of inland water but there is a sea trout river that runs through the southern-most part of town. There are also a number of fishing areas that offer a variety of species such as char, brown trout, rainbow trout, perch and pike.
Härnön is also known for it´s great sea trout fishing. In spring, when the ice has melted, you can have some great tussles with big trout by using a casting rod along the beaches of Sälsten, and out towards Lotsstugan. If you have access to a boat (or can rent one) there are many areas where you can try your luck.
