Fishing in the district of Sundsvall is dominated by the waters of Ljungan and Selångersån. Ljungan offers fishing for migratory species such as salmon, brown trout, grayling and lavaret in it´s lower undeveloped stretches. In the tributaries there are a good number of other species, with everything from char to large pike.
The river Selångersån flows through the centre of Sundsvall, and at certain times of year offers excellent sea trout fishing.
